#82451 Reputation

Posted by GodFather on 28 January 2013 - 12:13 AM

After long discussion Administration Team has decided to implement reputation in the permissions members have. We have seen till now, that this feature has been respected by members as an indicator of activity in MedicalGnosis.

Moreover, there are no signs of abuse and we wish you keep it this way.

From now on, reputation will serve as indicator for promoting members to Poster Group and Donators.

Member Groups in forum are:

Group Member:

Poster Group

Donator Group

In order a Member to advance to Poster or above, you will need activity in forum which is translated in good/useful posts and reputation given by other members.

In each post a member makes, you can see two buttons: rep_up.png & rep_down.png

The green rep_up.png adds a positive rating in Member's reputation, while red rep_down.png deducts (adds negative rating).

Clicking rep_up.png you add +1 reputation in a post you fancy while clicking rep_down.png you are negatively rating -1 because you don't like the post.

A Member will need 50 green to advance to next level

Any abuse of this, with members adding greens between them just to gain Poster Group membership will lead to warning and banning!

After all this is just an indicator. Members will still be manually selected for promotion

Thank you

#83090 This Site Sucks

Posted by Storm Rider on 11 February 2013 - 01:47 PM

Dear JackNC,

Thank you for sharing your opinion about our forum.

We are always happy to get a feedback from members, no matter if it is or isn't that pleasant to hear. :raisehat:

Now, allow me to explain few things.

Every member, no matter of rank he/she has is allowed to ask for a book or any other material they need for studies.

In other words, one does not need any special access to get the help and support.

If a book is in inaccessable forum's section, then, a member is welcome to ask moderators to provide them a link.

Regarding exclusivity. Our the most active members have  exclusive traits- they are helpful, they work a lot to fulfill everyone's needs.

Indeed, this is the true exclusivity: when we are aware that without the magic they do, nothing would be possible.

Forum is a community , it consists of people; not of books and articles. One can't expect other people to give him/her everything from the very start(date of registration); but he/she must approach them and show the good will towards other members. I guarantee that such behaviour couldn't be ever neglected (except in a few cases when it's about unloyal members). It's all like in reality, you probably know how relations among people work- one can't give himself endlessly and give all his time if he doesn't get any respond or feedback.

#80943 Donation Announcement

Posted by GodFather on 21 December 2012 - 01:29 PM

Medicalgnosis has not been able to meet the required donation goal for the last few months. We need your generous support so that we can pay for the server expenses, costs & upgrades. Please donate whatever you can, so that we can continue to keep the site up and running.

Donation.jpg

Donators with <ANY AMOUNT of $> will also be handed 'gifts' & support from the Admin Team (Including search techniques and tips).

* Donators will also be able to request twice as much articles, journals, books (as described in Rules of each section) for the same period of time.

We are sorry to set these limits in difficult times for everyone, but this is our only chance of keeping our DREAM alive. If you share the same DREAM, help us keep it alive!

#92196 Gray's Anatomy for students flash cards

Posted by Math Man on 07 July 2013 - 04:46 PM

new links:

00192676_medium.jpeg

Richard Drake, Gray's Anatomy for students flash cards:with student consult Online acc3s$

ISBN: 0443069107 | edition 2005 | CHM | 668 pages | 131 mb

These flash cards are an excellent educational tool that will help
students at all levels. I would recommend them to my anatomy students.
They are comparable to Anatomy Flash Cards: Anatomy on the Go, Gilroy
(Thieme, 2008)) in content, but the latter has a better online resource
that allows students to study each illustration with or without labels,
along with a self-testing feature. Nevertheless, this second edition of
the Gray's flash cards is a very worthwhile update of a valuable student
resource.

#83085 Hello old friends.

Posted by Permediki on 11 February 2013 - 08:25 AM

Hello my friends.

Since.. about a year ago I've not been actively involved in our forum.. Now, I find the blog much better and it has improved in many ways. I must greet my great friends Storm and Dantunez, because they've always helped me in the way of aid, detachment, philanthropy .. and free science. With this forum, I have advanced and succeed otherwise would not have been possible. Now, I must break the news that I am a medical graduate.

I will try to participate again in the blog, and actively.
I am available for any help.

Greetings from Peru.

#82806 Which Share Site Do You Prefer?

Posted by KhaledMD on 03 February 2013 - 12:58 AM

first of all, for me I hate Depositfiles and Ryushare ... a lot :D

I think, the best would be - as medicine2011 suggested - uploading to mirror host either mirrorcreator, multiupload, embedupload, flashmirror or others

better to your own account in the corresponding file hosts hoping files will be online for more long time comparing to guest or anonymous upload

---------------------------------------------------

mediafire is great for downloading, but too difficult when uploading huge files. and also delete files faster than others for DCMA Copyright infringment ...etc

rapidshare supports resuming downloads as a free user (at least these days), and with high speed (It's the best), but unfortunately I think it added some bandwidth restrictions on user account itself so anyone download someone's file, bandwidth is added to the uploader account

4shared is so far one of the most famous file sharing sites but needs registration to download files (and to upload of course), don't resume download sometimes

Filepost, Lumfile, Rapidgator, turbobit, bayfiles, Uploading,  are not recommended (as a free user),

Extabit is great for downloading (as pr3mium acc0unts always available for it), Uploaded not recommended however there are some pr3mium link generators for it.

Also some files are big sized and need certain share sites that allow resume downloading

in this case, we should look for a pr3mium link generator for the specified host (there are a lot of working PLG sites)

#100009 Dork For Medicine

Posted by poket on 26 December 2013 - 10:30 PM

Hi friends, do you never used a dork to find resources on the web? No? Ok, start now.

A dork is a string like this

filetype:log inurl:"pa$$w0rd .log"

that you can use to obtain an answer from a server.

We can use the dorks to ask questions to Google.

In particular to find academical resources accessible free.

We can simply digit the dork on Google and acc3s$ to the contents.

In this section we can collect all dorks that we know, and hope that other members add others.

Good search!
